Senior Citizen's Supper

Picture
In the Spring, Uxbridge Rotary Club hold a Supper for some of our local Senior Citizens. Our very own Master Chef and his team, prepare a superb 3-course dinner for between 75 and 100 guests who are ‘chauffeured’ door-to-door.  Our guests are not only wined and dined but also entertained.  A quartet of excellent young musicians, the Hillingdon Music Service Quartet, play during the meal and we put on a cabaret after dinner. The whole Club is involved in the project, driving our guests, preparing and serving the meals.

Special Needs Children to Thorpe Park

Picture
In June we take a group of young people from Pield Heath School for a fun day out at ThorpePark as part of the Rotary Kids Out Project. This day out is such a special treat for our youngsters that they look forward to it all year and are so excited on the day.  Truth to tell, it’s the same for us-though some of us would rather ‘hold the jumpers’ than go on the fast rides these days.

A Christmas Treat for Children

Picture
We support a school for younger children with learning difficulties providing a Childrens’ Entertainer who entertains the whole school. Some of these youngsters have physical difficulties which would make it hard to get to and to cope with the Panto we traditionally supported so this way they all have some fun in an environment they are used to.
